Melissa Coniglio-Fote, LMHC, CASAC, MSEd

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

'I successfully guide individuals to overcome issues such as self esteem, life transitions, relationships, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral challenges, stress and anger issues.  My purpose is not to understand what it is like to walk in your shoes, but to come alongside you and walk with you, together through the difficulties and determine healthy strategies together.

We will set goals and objectives together to formulate a viable solution for your situation.  I have experience working with individuals, couples and groups while providing a supportive space to explore the conflicts that keep you trapped into unfulfilling patterns, while promoting healing and positive life style changes.

EXPERIENCE

Since 2000 I have worked in the mental health field, working alongside children and teens seeking healing and growth in a residential treatment environment.  I have worked with clients struggling with symptoms of anger,

impulsivity, depression, anxiety, trauma, learning disabilities, substance abuse and other co-occuring issues.

I have worked for 7 years with women helping them to become employed to better their own lives and their families.  There are many obstacles for women to be successful, raising children, being a wife or a single parent.

I look forward to working with you on your journey to self improvement.

I believe in the worth each of us posses and will work alongside you to help you find your truth in your own life. Equipping my clients with new tools to overcome whatever life throws at them, my goal is to help you feel, think and behave in new healthy ways.

CLIENT PROMISE

I promise to be present with you every step of your therapy journey. We will work together to co-create a treatment plan that will help you find peace.  We receive constant messages that if you are not feeling happy something is wrong. But is this fair? Over 50% of us will suffer with a mental health condition in our lifetime! This suggests suffering is not pathological, but rather a universal experience.

The fact you are human guarantees you will experience pain. Sadly, sometimes our well-intended efforts to avoid pain can paradoxically lead to more suffering. Across time we can lose touch with what matters to us most and our quality of life goes down. We can become stuck in an unnecessary battle with ourselves, and all the while life continues to go by.

Therapy provides long-lasting benefits and support giving you the tools you need to avoid triggers, re-direct damaging patterns and overcome whatever challenges you face.  In short, people seeking therapy are ready to meet the challenges in their lives and ready to make the changes in their lives.

Please feel free to call for a free 15 minute consultation to see if you are interested in meeting with me in person so we can get started. I look forward to hearing from you.
